What an amazing day we had yesterday with our fabulous MK Associates performing at the prestigious Theatre Royal in Brighton! From start to finish, the day was full of excitement, energy, and pure dance magic - and we couldn’t be prouder.
For those not aware, our MK Associate programme offers dancers something truly special - it’s more than just training. MK Associates provides a wealth of opportunities beyond regular classes. Through the programme, dancers can take part in festivals and shows, train to an enhanced further level, and have access to workshops led by our team and top choreographers. We’re passionate about giving our young performers the chance to grow, connect and explore the wider world of dance. Yesterday was a shining example of what the programme is all about.
Hosted by ShowTime Future Stars (https://showtimefuturestars.com/), the event brought together schools from across the region in a celebration of young talent - and what a day it was!
Some of our brilliant team travelled down together to the beautiful Brighton coast, ready to represent MK Dance in style. Spirits were high as we arrived at the Theatre Royal and settled into our very own private dressing room – a real treat and the perfect spot to get performance-ready.

After rehearsing our two fantastic routines and the grand finale number, it was time to take to the stage – and wow, did our dancers deliver! The audience was treated to a stunning performance of ‘Rewrite the Stars’ from The Greatest Showman, full of grace and emotion. We also brought back a firm favourite – a bold and updated version of ‘Video Killed the Radio Gaga’, which many of you might remember from our most recent show.
The energy and professionalism our dancers showed was simply incredible, and the finale featuring all the schools was a joyful celebration of collaboration and creativity.
To top off the day, we made our way to the beach for a well-deserved ice cream in the sunshine – the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable experience.

A huge thank you goes to the brilliant Charlotte for her fabulous choreography, and to the wonderful Vicki for chaperoning and keeping everything running smoothly on the day.
And finally - the biggest round of applause goes to our talented MK Associates who lit up the stage - Dotty Allen, Ida Allen, Chimamanda Aka, Amy Anscombe, Ava Bidmead, Aria Dosanjh, Jessica Good, Isabelle Rose Green, Summer Hardgrave, Harriet Holdforth, Laura Ibrahim De Abreu, Ella Keers, Daffyd Noakes, Lucy Noakes, Emilia Palcut, and Sophie Wareham. You were all amazing.
We are so proud of each and every one of you - your talent, commitment and teamwork represent everything we stand for at MK Dance. Here’s to many more magical moments to come!
Team MK Dance 💙
