We are absolutely thrilled to share some wonderful news – MK Dance has been awarded not one, but TWO prestigious titles at the 2025 SME News Greater London Enterprise Awards!
🏆 Best Inclusive Ballet, Tap & Modern Dance School 2025
🏆 Community Achievement Award 2025

To be recognised for both our inclusivity and our community impact is such a proud moment for us as a family-run school. These awards highlight everything we stand for: that dance should be for everyone and that our work reaches far beyond the studio walls.
Our Principal, Kathryn Billings, is especially delighted with this recognition:
“These awards mean so much to us because they showcase what MK Dance is really about – opening up the joy of dance to everyone, building confidence, and celebrating individuality. We’ve always believed there’s a dancer in all of us, and this recognition from SME News just reinforces that message.”
For nearly a decade, the Greater London Enterprise Awards have celebrated businesses making a difference across the region. To be honoured among so many inspiring companies is a real privilege, and it’s a reminder that small, local schools like ours can make a big impact.
At MK Dance, inclusivity has always been at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s supporting students who go on to The BRIT School, helping young gymnasts represent Great Britain, or simply giving children and adults a safe, encouraging space to dance, we are committed to creating opportunities for all.
Winning the Community Achievement Award is especially special, as it reflects the strong ties we have with our local Croydon community and beyond. From our exam successes and shows to the friendships formed in class, everything we do is about people, connection, and growth.
We couldn’t have achieved this without the support of our amazing students, families, and community. Thank you for dancing this journey with us – these awards belong to all of you too. 💜
Here’s to more dancing, more inclusivity, and more celebrating the belief that there's a dancer in all of us!
